FREEDOM OF COSCIENCE AND RELIGION

 

 

    

1)     DECLARATION OF THE RIGHTS OF MAN AND OF THE CITIZEN  26 AUGUST 1789:

 

Art. 10 -   No one may be questioned about his opinions, [and the] same [for] religious [opinions], unless their manifestation upsets the public order established by the law.

Art. 11  The free communication of thoughts and of opinions is one of the most precious rights of man: any citizen thus may speak, write, print freely, except to respond to the abuse of this freedom, in the cases established by the law.

 

2)     UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS 1948:

 

Art. 1 -   All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are provided with reason and conscience and should act towards each other in a spirit of brotherhood.

Art.3  -  Everyone has the right to life, freedom and safety of himself.

Art. 16 -   Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They have got equal rights to the marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution

Art. 18 -   Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom to express his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance, alone or in community other people, in public or in private.

 

3)     CONSTITUTION OF ITALY:

 

Art. 8 -  All religious confessions are equally free in front of the law. The religious confessions different from the Catholic one have the right to organise themselves in according to their own statutes,  if these are compatible with Italian law. Their relations with the State are regulated by laws  based on agreements  between the State and their own delegations.

 Art. 19 - All the people have the right to profess freely their own religious faith in any form, individually
or in association, to spread it and  practice the worship in private or public, except for the religious rites are not contrary to public morality.

 

 

 

4)     DECLARATION OF STUDENTS  OF  CLASS  3°A  OF SCHOOL SECONDARIA  DI  PRIMO  GRADO  DI  SANT’ANGELO  IN  VADO:

 

-          The coscience’s freedom is a right that must be exercised and respected to the fine of Law. Every man must be aware of himself, of his actions and act in the convention of their morality principles and for the society wellness.

 

-         The religion is all that joins men to what they consider sacred and divine, relationships, feelings and actions. Therefore, all the people are free to believe in what they want, so no one has got the right to interfere in the men choices concerning the religion, whitin the limits fixed by laws.
