COMENIUS MULTILATERAL PARTNERSHIP

OMAC  -  OPEN MINDS FOR ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP

TARGU JIU,   ROMANIA  - 30th MAY    3rd JUNE 2010

MEETING  MINUTES

MAY, 31st

  9.00 – 10.00

The guest teachers and students are welcome in the Town Hall by the Mayor and the Prefect; a short thanksgiving speech is also given by the Coordinator,   Ivo Zambello.

11.00 – 13.00 –  Work session Nr. 1

 The mobilities are updated according to the following numbers of participants:

Adria: 7                 S. Angelo In Vado: 2

Berlin: 3                Shumen: 4

Pavlikeni: 8           Yalova: 3

Debica: 9              Targu Jiu: 0 (hosting school)    Bucharest: 0 (absent)

1.  Check on multilingual dictionary: the final version is to be recorded in a DVD.

The dictionary  is quickly  checked through: as the content is rather heavy, it won’t be possible to upload it on the website, so a DVD copy will be provided to each school which will share it with all the national representatives of the associated partners for the project (Amnesty, Terres des Hommes, Worldwatch, Reporters sans Frontieres and so on). Christian  says that, as  it is not cheap to send such items in large numbers, 1 or 2  DVD  will be sent to the single schools.

The sound of the dictionary is good, but there are problems with the links: some lines have been skipped . It is therefore agreed that we will devote some  time in the afternoon (16.00-17.00) to further checking.

              2.     Defenders of freedom of conscience and religion: Targu Jiu have the files here, they will provide them later.

Berlin school will send the files by 10th June and  will upload the special case issue  by 20th June.

As regards our partners from Bucharest who are not present here, Ivo will contact them  in order to know the reasons for not being here; he will also inform them about the last deadline for their works  which are still missing (15th June).

Pavlikeni will send all  the missing works by 10th June.

       3.      Present situation (country, Europe, world, a special case)

       4.      Questionnaire on freedom of conscience and religion school part:

it was in the agenda of the meeting in Shumen, which could not be held due to the Iceland Volcano ashes.

The questionnaire from Adria is shown as an example.

Ivo will ask Bucharest for their questionnaire which is missing.

5. Check on  View and  analysis/discussion of the chosen film

The discussion on the film is anticipated in the agenda.

After having read the minutes from Shumen meeting, all the grids about the chosen films are shared.

6.  Common part of the questionnaire on freedom of conscience and religion: comparison of the results

The results and charts from each school  are compared and commented upon.

14.00 – 17.00 – Work session Nr. 2

  7.     Check on the  didactical path,  second year

The missing parts will be provided as follows:

Yalova will provide Presentation of the country by 10th June;

Debica school will upload the file at once;

Targu Jiu will upload the missing parts by tomorrow:

Berlin will send the missing part by 10th June;

 Ivo will ask Bucharest school for the missing parts (history in English, civic education …)

The Multilingual dictionary is then carefully checked by each  partner school in order to give Christian the right suggestions for better finishing his work.

 Thanks to Debica school, we can have a first view on the final report.

The coordinator offers a few useful suggestions, such as:

underline the role of the associated partners: 1 from Italy, 1 from S. Angelo in Vado, 1 from Pavlikeni;

justify the absence to the short meeting in Shumen, due to the  ash cloud.

Visit to the school

14.00-15.00   Work session Nr. 4

10.  Discussion on the  Questionnaire on the evaluation of the partnership

The results are presented and commented on; it is clear that some issues (namely, the language and  the websites) have  caused  some problems to the partners

11.   How to increase and enlarge collaboration among our communities

The coordinator illustrates some interesting ideas for further collaboration:

·       Comenius individual pupil mobilities

·       E-twinning projects

·       Towntwinning (Europe for Citizens Programme 2007-2013)

·       Youth in action

The following websites are suggested as extremely useful:
